Lab Window Controls




The information and buttons on the lab window are designed to help the student manage the lab experience. The following is a description of each:  
 
Time Remaining: Each lab has a time frame in which it is to be completed. This control displays the time remaining for a lab.  

Equipment selection box: Use this drop down box to select the server(s) to bring into focus - this is mainly for labs in which there is more than one server or machine being used in the lab.  

Connection status: This provide information regarding the connection to the virtual lab server. It includes several messages including:
  • not connected
  • preparing environment
  • Lab started
  • miscellaneous error message
Begin Lab button : This button (grayed out) starts the lab.  

Close Lab button: Closes down the lab equipment and begins the verification process (where applicable).
